This allows moviegoers to guarantee their spot in a popular movie or during a busy time, ensuring they won't miss out on seeing the film. The fees also help the cinema manage demand and allocate seating, making the moviegoing experience more organized and convenient for patrons. Additionally, advance booking fees may contribute to the overall revenue of the cinema, helping to support the operation and maintenance of the theater. **

The amount of money that a cinema keeps from the screening of a film can vary depending on various factors such as the popularity of the film, the terms of the distribution deal, and the cinema's operating costs. Typically, cinemas keep a percentage of the ticket sales revenue, with the rest going to the film distributor. This percentage can range from around 50% to 70% for major blockbuster films, with independent and smaller cinemas sometimes negotiating for a higher percentage. Additionally, cinemas also make money from concessions sales, which can further contribute to their overall revenue from screening a film. **
